Die Region Buje erstreckt sich vom Fluss Mirna bis zum Fluss Dragonja, der auch die Grenze zur Republik Slowenien markiert. Dies ist ein Gebiet mit wellenartigen Hügeln, die mit Weinbergen, Olivenhainen und Feldern bedeckt sind, durchsetzt mit Eichen, Cerris und Kiefernwäldern sowie mediterranen Wiesen mit wilder Thymian und Tannenbäumen und einem Karstgürtel voller interessanter geologischer Phänomene. Heute ist die gesamte Region Buje der bekannteste Weinanbaugebiet Istriens mit zahlreichen Weinkellern und Bauernhäusern (Agrotourismus). In der Nähe gibt es schöne mittelalterliche Städte; die bekanntesten sind Gronjan, Momjan und Završje.
