De Buje Regio strekt zich uit van de rivier de Mirna tot de rivier de Dragonja, die ook de grens met de Republiek Slovenië markeert. Dit is een gebied met golvende heuvels bedekt met wijnranken, olijfboomgaarden en velden bezaaid met eiken, cerris en dennenbossen en Mediterraanse weiden met wilde tijm en sparren en een karstgordel vol interessante geologische fenomenen. Tegenwoordig is de hele regio Buje het meest beroemde wijnbouwgebied van Istrië met talrijke wijnkelders en boerderijen (agritourisme). In de buurt liggen prachtige middeleeuwse stadjes; de bekendste zijn Gronjan, Momjan en Završje.
