Die National Gallery of Ireland zeigt 'Eine Dame, die einen Brief mit ihrer Dienerin schreibt' von Johannes Vermeer.
Es wurde am 27. April 1974 zusammen mit einem Goya, zwei Gainsboroughs und drei Rubens von der Russborough House Heimat von Sir Alfred Beit von einer bewaffneten IRA-Bande gestohlen.
Das Gemälde wurde schließlich während eines Austauschs im August 1993 am Flughafen Antwerpen wiedergefunden.
