Limerick Junction ist der Umsteigebahnhof für Züge aus Limerick, Dublin Heuston, Cork, Waterford, Tralee und Ennis. Der Bahnhof wurde am 3. Juli 1848 eröffnet.
Der Bahnhof war bekannt für sein Layout, das bis 1967 erforderte, dass jeder Zug, der an dem Bahnhof hielt, eine Wende machen musste, um dies zu tun. Die neuesten Änderungen im Jahr 2019, einschließlich der Errichtung eines neuen Mittelbahnsteigs, bedeuten, dass nur Züge in Richtung Waterford vor und nach dem Zugang zum Bahnhof wenden müssen.
