Die Ponte della Maddalena ist eine Brücke, die den Fluss Serchio überquert. Sie war eine wichtige Flussüberquerung auf der Via Francigena, einer alten Straße nach Rom für diejenigen, die aus Frankreich kamen, und eine bedeutende mittelalterliche Pilgerroute. Die Brücke ist ein bemerkenswertes Beispiel für mittelalterliche Ingenieurskunst. Sie ist nach Maria Magdalena benannt, da hier eine Statue am Fuß der Brücke am östlichen Ufer stand.
