Pareto ist eine Gemeinde mit 539 Einwohnern in der italienischen Provinz Alessandria, Region Piemont. Die Nachbargemeinden sind Cartosio, Giusvalla , Malvicino, Mioglia , Ponzone, Sassello und Spigno Monferrato.
Der Ort liegt auf einer Höhe von 476 m über dem Meeresspiegel auf einem Hügelrücken zwischen den Flusstälern des Erro und des Bormida an einem alten Handelsweg zwischen dem Mittelmeer und der Poebene. Das Gemeindegebiet umfasst eine Fläche von 40,9 km².
