Der Pass liegt im Naturschutzgebiet des Parco naturale Orsiera - Rocciavrè und verbindet in einer Höhe von 2178 m das Susatal mit dem Chisonetal . Die Strecke ist zum großen Teil geschottert. Südlich des Scheitels liegt der Osteinstieg der Assietta-Kammstraße. Wintersperre ist vom 1. November bis zum 31. Mai.
