Das Königreich Italien war ein Staat in Südeuropa, welcher von 1861 bis 1946 auf dem Gebiet der heutigen Italienischen Republik und Teilen derer Nachbarstaaten bestand. Während dieses Zeitraums war Italien eine zentralistisch organisierte, am monarchischen Prinzip ausgerichtete konstitutionell-parlamentarische Monarchie.
Die Gründung des Königreichs 1861 erfolgte im Zuge der Risorgimentobewegungen, in deren Endphase mit der Proklamation des sardischen Königs Viktor Emanuel II. zum König von Italien am 17. März 1861 in Turin der erste moderne italienische Nationalstaat unter der Herrschaft des Hauses Savoyen entstanden war. 1866 erklärte er dem Kaisertum Österreich den Krieg und erwarb Venetien mit Friaul. 1871 folgte der Kirchenstaat mit Rom, womit die italienischen Unabhängigkeitskriege endeten.
