Der Brunnen San Felice in Volterra ist eines der wichtigsten hydraulischen Bauwerke der mittelalterlichen Stadt und besteht aus einem großen, teilweise in den Boden gegrabenen Steinbecken, das durch ein von zwei Steinbögen getragenes Dach geschützt ist.
Der Baukörper lehnt sich an den Hang, Rück- und Seitenwände sind gemauert.
Aus einer Inschrift an der Fassade wissen wir, dass der Brunnen 1319 unter der Leitung von Chelino Ducci Tancredi im Auftrag der balitori der Contrada von Santo Stefano errichtet wurde.
Die Quelle, die immer noch über den alten Bürgersteig zugänglich ist, wurde nach dem Vorbild der Fonte di Docciola erbaut, die achtzig Jahre zuvor auf der anderen Seite der Stadt errichtet wurde.
