Die Reichsabtei Echternach in der luxemburgischen Stadt Echternach war ein Benediktinerkloster namens St. Peter und Paul und reichsunmittelbares Territorium im Heiligen Römischen Reich Deutscher Nation. Neben großen Teilen der Konventsgebäude ist von dem Kloster die rekonstruierte Basilika St. Willibrord erhalten. Das Territorium der ehemaligen Reichsabtei Echternach liegt heute zum größten Teil in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, zum kleineren Teil im Großherzogtum Luxemburg und im Königreich der Niederlande. Die Basilika St. Willibrord und große Teile der Konventsgebäude liegen in Echternach. Als Freie Reichsabtei war es reichsunmittelbar, besaß ein reichsunmittelbares Territorium und erkannte immer nur drei Herren an, nämlich Gott, Papst und den römisch-deutschen Kaiser.
