Der Drei-Pagoden-Pass ist 22 km von Sangkhlaburi entfernt. Die drei Pagoden waren ehemals drei Steinmengen; daher der Name des Ortes „Die drei Steinmengen“. Später wurden die Steinmengen mit Chedi bedeckt. Dieses Gebiet war ein Grenzpass, der intensiv von thailändischen und burmesischen Armeen genutzt wurde, seit dem ersten burmesischen Angriff auf Ayutthaya im Jahr 1568/69 n. Chr. bis zum Krieg der neun Armeen zur Zeit von König Rama I. (1785 n. Chr.). Es kennzeichnet auch die raue Grenze zwischen Thailand und Myanmar und ist der Standort eines kleinen florierenden Grenzmarktes.
