Zalmplaat ist eine U-Bahn-Station im Rotterdamsen Stadtteil Hoogvliet. Die Station wurde am 25. Oktober 1974 eröffnet und war zu diesem Zeitpunkt der Endpunkt der Nord-Süd-Linie der Rotterdamer U-Bahn, jetzt Linie D genannt. Über zehn Jahre nach der Eröffnung, am 25. April 1985, wurde die Linie weiter nach Spijkenisse verlängert, wodurch Zalmplaat seine Funktion als Endstation verlor. Es war damals auch die einzige Endstation der Rotterdamer U-Bahn ohne Mittelbahnsteig. Die Station hat dasselbe Design wie die Station in Poortugaal, jedoch spiegelbildlich ausgeführt.
