Als Teil des Atlantikwalls finden sich in der Umgebung zahlreiche Bunkerüberreste aus dem Zweiten Weltkrieg. Das Zoutelander Bunkermuseum ermöglicht die Besichtigung zweier von deutschen Streitkräften in den Dünen errichteten Bunkern. Hierbei handelt es sich um einen Doppelgruppenunterstand und um einen Beobachtungsposten.
