Ein Rastplatz bietet die Möglichkeit für einen kurzen Halt mit Kaffee, Tee oder Limonade und etwas Leckerem dazu, bei Bewohnern im Außenbereich von Salland. Die Rastplätze sind deutlich durch ein Rastplatz-Schild markiert und geöffnet, wenn tatsächlich das Schild 'offen' angezeigt wird.
Der Familienhof, ein sehr alter Hof, der möglicherweise vor dem 14. Jahrhundert gegründet wurde, liegt am 'Pieterpad' und auch an der Route des 'Fahrradroutennetzes Overijssel'. Einst begann es mit einer Bank im Garten an der Straße. Das wird viel von Wanderern und Radfahrern genutzt.
