Schoonheten ist ein stilvolles und vornehmes Herrenhaus. Die monumentale Zugangsbrücke mit den zwei Bögen über den Schlossgraben strahlt dies auch aus. Das Haus wurde 1382 erstmals erwähnt. Das Haus ist von Wasser umgeben und auf dem Vorplatz befinden sich zwei halbkreisförmige Bauhäuser. Die heutigen Bewohner sind noch immer Nachkommen der Familie Bentinck.
