Das Rijksmuseum van Oudheden ist das nationale archäologische Museum der Niederlande. Das Museum befindet sich in einem historischen Gebäudekomplex an der Rapenburg, der bekanntesten Gracht in Leiden.König Wilhelm I. stiftete das Museum im Jahr 1818 und ernannte Caspar Reuvens, den an der Universität Leiden lehrenden ersten Professor für Archäologie, zum Direktor.
