Seit Herbst 2006 hat die Buchhandlung Selexyz Dominicanen ihren Sitz in der jahrhundertealten Dominikanerkirche in Maastricht. Vor zweihundert Jahren verlor die Kirche ihre sakrale Funktion und diente seither viele Jahre unter anderem als Schlangenhaus, Fahrradabstellplatz und Karnevalszentrale.
Das Architektenbüro Merkx + Girod entwarf das besondere Interieur von Selexyz Dominicanen. Das Design erhielt 2007 den Lensvelt Architectenpreis für Innenarchitektur, den renommiertesten Preis auf diesem Gebiet in den Niederlanden.
