Zoelen ist ein Dorf in der Gemeinde Buren, in der niederländischen Provinz Gelderland. Der Name bedeutet Ansiedlung am Fluss Zoel. Das Dorf liegt nördlich von Tiel und nordöstlich von Kerk-Avezaath. Das Dorf mit verstreuten Häusern in der Umgebung hat 1.715 Einwohner. Die ältesten Siedlungsspuren datieren aus dem 2. Jahrhundert n. Chr. In der karolingischen Zeit entwickelte sich hier erneut eine Besiedlung auf der alten Hochfläche, mit zwei parallel verlaufenden Straßen über eine Länge von etwa 1500 Metern. Am südlichen Ende des Dorfes wurde im 12. Jahrhundert eine Kirche erbaut. An der Westseite entstand in derselben Zeit die Burg Soelen. Zoelen gehörte ursprünglich zum Grafen von Teisterbant.
