Echteld ist ein Dorf in der Gemeinde Neder-Betuwe in der niederländischen Provinz Gelderland. Es liegt etwas östlich von Tiel und hat ca. 1.050 Einwohner. 1178 wird Echtelte erstmals erwähnt. Der Ort war eine tägliche Herrschaft. 1271 wurde bereits das Schloss Wijenburg erwähnt, das nach der Familie von Wijhe benannt ist, die das Schloss fünf Jahrhunderte lang besaß. Die Oudmunster in Utrecht soll 1139 die Rechte an den Zehnten und Abgaben von Echteld erhalten haben.
