Batenburg ist eine niederländische Stadt im Land van Maas und Waal, die zur Gelderner Gemeinde Wijchen gehört. Sie liegt westlich von Wijchen an der Maas. Batenburg hatte am 1. Januar 2021 nur 650 Einwohner und wird daher meist als Dorf bezeichnet, hat jedoch eine Vergangenheit als Stadt, sogar als eine der ältesten in Gelderland. Das historische Batenburg mit seiner Burgruine ist ein geschütztes Stadtbild.
