Susteren ]; Limburgish: Zöstere [ˈzœstəʀə]) ist eine Stadt in der niederländischen Provinz Limburg. Sie liegt in der Gemeinde Echt-Susteren, etwa 7 km nordwestlich von Sittard. Bis 2003 war es eine eigenständige Gemeinde, als sie mit Echt fusioniert wurde. Susteren erhielt 1276 das Stadtrecht. Susteren beherbergte das Benediktinerkloster Susteren, das im 8. Jahrhundert gegründet und Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts geschlossen wurde. Ihre romanische Kirche wurde 2007 von Papst Benedikt XVI. zur Basilika erhoben. Neben der Kirche gibt es ein Museum namens ‘t Stift. Weitere Sehenswürdigkeiten sind die Kanone auf dem Marktplatz, das Schloss Eyckholt, die Mühle Dieterdermolen und typische Bauernhöfe im Maastal wie den Hommelhof.
