Blokzijl ist eine Gemeinde in der Kop van Overijssel und gehört seit der kommunalen Neugliederung am 1. Januar 2001 zur Gemeinde Steenwijkerland in der niederländischen Provinz Overijssel. Bis 1973 war es eine selbständige Gemeinde. Blokzijl liegt zwischen Emmeloord und Steenwijk. Der Ort verdankt seinen Namen einer befestigten Schleuse, der Blokzijl. Blokzijl hat etwa 1.400 Einwohner.
