Deventer ; Niedersächsisch: Dèv'nter oder Daeventer, im lokalen Dialekt: Dèmpter) ist eine niederländische Stadt in der Provinz Overijssel. Die Stadt ist der Hauptort der gleichnamigen Gemeinde und liegt am Fluss IJssel. Deventer war im Mittelalter Teil des Hansebundes, eines wichtigen norddeutschen Handelsnetzwerks.
