Die Sint-Petrus-Kirche stammt aus dem Jahr 990! Damals wurde hier eine Kirche aus Tuffstein erbaut. Die heutige (gotische) Kirche und der Turm stammen aus etwa 1300. Die Kirche hat einen 74,5 Meter hohen Turm, den man besteigen darf.
Im Beekse Turm (der Sint-Petrus-Kirche) liegt das Buch Origines Antwerpianae, in dem Jan van Gorp seine Theorie von Becanus dargelegt hat.
