An der Noorderpier von Hoek van Holland steht seit 1943 ein großer deutscher Bunker. Dieser Bunker, ein Geschützbunker des Bautyps 611, war während des Zweiten Weltkriegs Teil des berüchtigten 'Atlantikwall'.
In den letzten Jahren wurde dieser Geschützbunker von Freiwilligen in das neue Besucherzentrum umgewandelt. Im Museum wird anhand von Dioramen, Infotafeln, Bild- und Tonmaterial und authentischen Objekten die Geschichte des Atlantikwall erzählt. Regelmäßig werden Führungen durch die ehemalige deutsche Flakbatterie 'Nordmole' organisiert.
