Leidschendam ist ein Ort in der Gemeinde Leidschendam-Voorburg in der niederländischen Provinz Südholland. Der Ort hat etwa 34.225 Einwohner. Die Gemeinde entstand 1938 aus einer Fusion der Gemeinden Veur und Stompwijk mit der Bauerschaft Wilsveen. Bis zum 1. Januar 2002 bildete sie eine selbständige Gemeinde. Seitdem ist sie zusammen mit dem Kirchdorf Stompwijk und Voorburg Teil der Gemeinde Leidschendam-Voorburg, die am Kanal de Vliet liegt, auch bekannt unter dem Namen Rijn-Schiekanaal. Die Gemeinde Leidschendam hatte Ende 2001 etwa 40.000 Einwohner bei einer Fläche von 37,8 km².
