Passen Sie in der Umgebung von De Lutte auf das Spukwesen Kardoes- oder Hellehund auf. Vor etwa fünfundachtzig Jahren machte der Hellehund hier die Gegend unsicher und man ist sich nicht sicher, ob er ausgestorben ist. Wenn Sie nicht wissen, wie er aussieht, steht in Lutte eine Statue, die ihm ähnelt. In Lutte gibt es auch ein Arboretum, das Poortbulten heißt. Dort finden Sie unter anderem eine große Sammlung von Sträuchern sowie einheimischen und ausländischen Bäumen.
