Das Dorf liegt an der Ausfahrt 24 der A28, zwischen dem Knotenpunkt Lankhorst und Hoogeveen und südlich des Hoogeveense Vaart. Rogat ist am besten durch das Gewerbegebiet neben der Autobahn sichtbar. In diesem Gewerbegebiet sind viele Branchen vertreten. So gibt es Unternehmen, die sich auf Wohnkultur, Motorräder oder Nutzfahrzeuge bis hin zu Gewächshausbau, Wohnwagen, Viehfutter und einem Straßenrestaurant spezialisiert haben.
