Kantens ist ein Dorf in der Gemeinde Het Hogeland in der Provinz Groningen in den Niederlanden. Es war die Hauptgemeinde der ehemaligen gleichnamigen Gemeinde, die 1990 in die Gemeinde Hefshuizen, jetzt Het Hogeland, eingegangen ist.
Das Dorf wurde auf und um die Kantsterwierde erbaut und liegt am Boterdiep. Das Dorf hat noch seinen ursprünglichen Ossengang und einen Weg rund um die Kirche aus etwa 1200 auf dem höchsten Punkt der Wierde. Die weitgehend romanische Kirche hat einen oktogonalen Turm, der von einem großen Strebepfeiler mit Durchgang gestützt wird. Am Rand der Wierde findet man die Korn- und Pelzmühle de Grote Geert.
