Haren ) ist ein Dorf in der Gemeinde Groningen, in der niederländischen Provinz Groningen. Haren war von 1811 bis 2019 eine selbstständige Gemeinde. Haren liegt direkt südöstlich der Stadt Groningen. Auch aufgrund dieser Lage ist es ein typischer Pendlerort. Das Dorf Haren ist ein Villendorf; es wird oft das Wassenaar des Nordens und auch die grüne Perle des Nordens genannt. Im Jahr 2013 zählte die Gemeinde laut den Daten des CBS etwa 18.640 Einwohner. Auch durch den Bau des Stadtteils Harenerholt stieg die Einwohnerzahl, am 1. Januar 2017 war diese auf 19.570 Einwohner gestiegen. Im Jahr 2018 ist sie weiter auf 20.191 Einwohner am 31. Dezember gestiegen.
