Montfort ist eine Stadt in der niederländischen Provinz Limburg, etwa 8 km südlich von Roermond. Sie gehört zur Gemeinde Roerdalen. In Montfort wohnen 3.075 Menschen. Montfort ist nicht zu verwechseln mit Montfoort, das in der Provinz Utrecht liegt.Die im 13. Jahrhundert errichtete Burg Montfort war ein Amtssitz der Grafschaft Geldern. Um 1270 erhielt Montfort die Stadtrechte. Die Kirche wurde 1344 gebaut aber wurde leicht beschädigt im Zweiten Weltkrieg. Das Zentrum des Städtchens wurde dagegen schwer zerstört. Bei dem Bombenangriff am 20. Januar 1945 kamen 186 Menschen ums Leben.
