Dongjum ist ein Dorf in Waadhoeke in der Provinz Friesland der Niederlande und hatte im Januar 2014 etwa 326 Einwohner. Bis 2018 gehörte das Dorf zur Gemeinde Franekeradeel. Dongjum besteht aus einer Gruppe künstlicher Wohnhügel, die an einem alten Ufer eines Wasserlaufes gelegen sind. Das Gebiet muss, wie archäologische Forschungen zeigen, bereits in römischer Zeit besiedelt gewesen sein. Aus der zu dieser Zeit ausgegrabenen Keramik geht hervor, dass die Bewohner recht wohlhabend waren. Vom Ende des Römischen Reiches bis zum 5. Jahrhundert war das Gebiet nach allen Überlegungen unbewohnt.
