Melderslo ist ein Kirchdorf der Gemeinde Horst aan de Maas in der niederländischen Provinz Limburg. Das Dorf hat 2.120 Einwohner und liegt 23 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel. Die Herkunft des Namens Melderslo ist ungewiss. Möglicherweise bedeutet es milder Platz im Wald. Dabei wird melder von dem germanischen mildreda abgeleitet und lo von offener Platz im Wald. Andere mögliche Bedeutungen sind Sandhill im Wald oder Unkraut im Wald. Unwahrscheinlich ist, dass melder mit dem Vogelnamen Amsel in Verbindung steht.
