Das Becken der Roode Beek ist eine Senke an der nordöstlichen Seite der Plateaus in Niederländisch-Südlimburg. Das Becken entstand durch die Erosion des Roode Beek. Später wurde an dieser Stelle Löss abgelagert. Das Gebiet weist eine leichte Hangneigung auf, die durch später gebildete sanfte Lösshänge und Bachtäler bestimmt wird. Es erstreckt sich in den Niederlanden von Jabeek und Bingelrade im Nordwesten, der nordöstlichen Hälfte von Brunssum im Süden, Schinveld in der Mitte und erstreckt sich weiter in ein Gebiet in Deutschland. Auch die Schinveldse Wälder liegen im Beckens der Roode Beek.
