Die Geulhemmergroeve in Berg en Terblijt hat ein Gangsystem von etwa 25 Kilometern. Ein besonderes Element davon ist die Felswohnung. Felswohnungen entstanden, weil Mergel abgebaut wurde und vor der ausgehöhlten Höhle eine Wand mit Fenster und Tür errichtet wurde.
Außerdem verfügt der unterirdische Steinbruch über eine historische Kapelle aus der Zeit der Französischen Revolution und eine Orangengalerie mit Medaillons des Hauses Oranien.
