Dieser Replika-Rollpfeiler erinnert an frühere Zeiten, als entlang des Treidelpfades an allen Kurven der Vecht Rollpfeiler standen. Dies sind Pfosten mit einem rollenden Teil am Ufer, über den das Seil der Treckschute geführt werden konnte. So wurde verhindert, dass das Pferd die Spitze des Bootes ins Ufer zog. Der Treidelpfad ist hier nicht mehr sichtbar, aber entlang der gesamten Vecht verlief ab 1630 ein schmaler Weg, über den das Pferd oder eine Person ging, um ein Boot zu ziehen.
