Das Werk an der Korte Uitweg ist ein Teil der Neuen Holländischen Wasserlinie und wurde zwischen 1873 und 1879 erbaut. Das Werk an der Korte Uitweg liegt 1000 Meter nördlich von Fort Honswijk und gehört zur Stellung von Honswijk.
Das Fort bestand ursprünglich aus einem Graben mit einer Erdwall um ihn herum. 1877 wurde ein bombensicheres Kasernen, eine Halle, ein Munitionslager und außerhalb des Grabens ein Fortwächterhaus errichtet. Das Ganze war 1879 fertiggestellt. Auf dem Fort war Platz für 160 Soldaten.
