Itteren ist ein Kirchdorf und eine ehemalige Gemeinde in der niederländischen Provinz Limburg. Seit 1970 ist das Dorf einer von 44 offiziellen Stadtteilen der Gemeinde Maastricht. Itteren hat circa 900 Einwohner.
Im Jahr 2009 fand im Teilgebiet Emmaus eine archäologische Ausgrabung statt im Zusammenhang mit der Ankündigung großangelegter Entsandungsarbeiten in dem Gebiet zwischen Borgharen und Itteren im Rahmen des Grenzmaasprojekts. Dabei wurden zwei Gräberfelder aus der Mittel- und Spätironzeit gefunden. Das südliche war ein Kremationsgräberfeld, umgeben von Gräben, in dem in einigen Kremationsgräbern Keramik, Glasarmbänder oder Münzen aus der Zeit 250-150 v.Chr. gefunden wurden. Nach 150 n.Chr. fanden erneut einige Bestattungen statt. Das nördliche Gräberfeld mit 20 Kremationsgräbern stammt aus der Zeit 500-200 v.Chr.
