Itteren es una aldea y un antiguo municipio en la provincia neerlandesa de Limburgo. Desde 1970, el pueblo es uno de los 44 barrios oficiales del municipio de Maastricht. Itteren tiene aproximadamente 900 habitantes.
En 2009, se realizó una excavación arqueológica en el área de Emmaus debido al anuncio de trabajos de extracción a gran escala en la zona entre Borgharen e Itteren en el marco del proyecto Grensmaas. Se encontraron dos necrópolis de la Edad del Hierro media y tardía. La del sur era un campo de tumbas de cremación flanqueado por zanjas, en el que se encontraron en algunas tumbas de cremación cerámica, pulseras de vidrio o monedas de la época 250-150 a.C. Después del 150 d.C. se realizaron nuevamente algunas inhumaciones. El campo de tumbas del norte, que cuenta con 20 tumbas de cremación, data de la época 500-200 a.C.
