Itteren è un villaggio e un ex comune nella provincia olandese del Limburgo. Dal 1970 il villaggio è uno dei 44 quartieri ufficiali del comune di Maastricht. Itteren ha circa 900 abitanti.

Nel 2009 si sono svolti scavi archeologici nell'area di Emmaus in relazione all'annuncio di lavori di estrazione su larga scala nell'area tra Borgharen e Itteren nel contesto del progetto Grensmaas. Durante questi scavi sono stati trovati due cimiteri risalenti all'età del ferro media e tarda. Il cimitero meridionale era un campo di cremazione delimitato da fossati, in cui in alcune tombe di cremazione sono stati rinvenuti ceramiche, bracciali di vetro o monete risalenti al periodo 250-150 a.C. Dopo il 150 d.C. si sono verificati nuovamente alcuni funerali. Il campo settentrionale con 20 tombe di cremazione risale al periodo 500-200 a.C.
