Das Zentrum wurde 1993 eröffnet und verfügt über eine Kuppelbauweise, sodass sowohl Sport als auch Zuschauer nicht von Säulen behindert werden. Die Konstruktion hat eine Spannweite von 79 auf 119 Meter und ist damit die größte Konstruktion Europas. Das Dach ist 22 Meter hoch. Die Gesamtkapazität des Zentrums beträgt 7.500 Zuschauer, darunter 4.000 Tribünenplätze. Der Boden hat maximale Abmessungen von 50x80 Metern. Neben unter anderem dem Freizeitennis und der Hallefußball war das Zentrum auch häufiger Organisator von unter anderem Davis Cup-Spielen oder sogar den Musikauftritten von K3. Das Zentrum befindet sich in den Genneper Parken, wo auch das Nationale Schwimmzentrum de Tongelreep und das Eissportzentrum Eindhoven stehen. 1999 fand dort die Brandstaff Masters statt.
