Die Mühle wurde 1822 an den heutigen Standort verlegt und blieb bis 1947 mit Windkraft in Betrieb, als ein Elektromotor die Funktion übernahm. Der Eigentümer setzte sein Geschäft an einem anderen Ort in einer elektrischen Mühle fort. Die Gemeinde Wilnis kaufte die Mühle, die 1965 als stillgelegtes Denkmal restauriert wurde. Die Stichting de Utrechtse Molens erwarb die Mühle 1971, und in den folgenden zwei Jahren wurde die Mühle mahlfähig restauriert. Seitdem mahlen Müller wöchentlich auf freiwilliger Basis Getreide in der Mühle. Die Flügel sind fast 24 Meter lang und mit dem Oudhollands-Windrad-System mit Segeln ausgestattet. Die Mühle besitzt ein Paar Mahlsteine.
