Der Wasserturm in Moordrecht wurde von dem Architekten P.D. Stuurman im Stil der Spätamsterdamer Schule entworfen und war Teil der Koninklijke Verenigde Tapijtfabrieken. Das Fabrikgebäude, das im selben Baustil errichtet wurde, wurde 1996 abgerissen. Der Turm wurde neben der Fabrik auch für die Trinkwasserversorgung der Einwohner von Moordrecht genutzt und diente als öffentliches Badehaus. Seit 1978 ist der Turm als Wasserturm außer Betrieb.
Der Wasserturm hat eine Höhe von 33 Metern und enthielt ein Wasserreservoir von 100 m³. Der Turm wurde mittlerweile zu einem Atelier mit Wohnung umgebaut.
