Die Liendense Waard ist ein Naturentwicklungsgebiet in den Auen der Maas zwischen Batenburg und Niftrik. Das Gebiet wurde von Rijkswaterstaat im Rahmen des Projekts Raum für den Fluss entwickelt. Ein alter Arm der Maas, der bei der Begradigung der Maas zugeschüttet wurde, wurde erneut ausgebaggert und es wurden einige neue Tümpel ausgehoben. Das gesamte Gelände bis zum Deich dient jetzt als Überlaufgebiet.
