La Liendense Waard è un'area di sviluppo naturale nelle aree alluvionali del fiume Mosa tra Batenburg e Niftrik. L'area è stata sviluppata dall'Agenzia Olandese per le Acque nell'ambito del progetto Spazio per il Fiume. Un antico braccio del Mosa, che era stato riempito durante la canalizzazione del fiume, è stato nuovamente escavato e sono state scavate alcune nuove pozze. L'intero terreno fino all'argine ora funge da area di sfogo.
