Die Anwohner von Witteveen und Benderse wurden im August vor Ort von den Förstern von Natuurmonumenten informiert.

Die Anserdennen stehen vor einer Reihe von Anpassungen. So muss das Heidegebiet offener werden, denn in den letzten Jahren wächst es immer mehr zu.

Ende August ging Natuurmonumenten mit Anwohnern in das Gebiet, um die Arbeiten, die in diesem Herbst beginnen, zu erläutern. Die Förster Ronald Popken und Hans Krol erzählten von der Bedeutung der trockenen Heideflächen und wie dieses Gebiet für die Zukunft erhalten bleiben kann.
