Die Mauritskerk oder die N.H. Kirche wurde zwischen 1612 und 1614 erbaut. Dies war die erste Kirche in Zeeland, die für die protestantischen Gottesdienste erbaut wurde. Im Inneren des Gebäudes findest du viele Gedenksteine auf dem Boden und allerlei Erinnerungsplatten; sie sind stille Zeugen der IJzendijkser Geschichte. Auch das wunderschöne Zehn-Gebote-Schild ist hier ein Beispiel dafür. Oben erklingt das Carillon, das häufig die zeeländisch-flämische Nationalhymne spielt.
