Der zuvor erwähnte Fußweg führt mich, mit dem Leuchtturm De Lange Jaap als Landmarke im Hintergrund, zu den Dunklen Dünen, dem einzigen Waldstück auf der Route. In diesem Wald findet man ein ganzes Netzwerk von Wanderwegen rund um einen kleinen Ententeich. Das gesamte Gebiet unter Huisduinen, einschließlich der Grafelijkheidsuinen, verdient einen eigenen Artikel. Aber auf diesem Spaziergang stoßen wir schnell durch dieses kleine Waldstück wieder in Richtung Julianadorp aan Zee.
