Die Schlacht um Posen wurde während des Zweiten Weltkrieges im Rahmen der Weichsel-Oder-Operation der Roten Armee geschlagen. Sie begann am 25. Januar 1945 nach der vollständigen Einschließung der von den deutschen Streitkräften zur Festung erklärten Stadt und endete nach schweren Kämpfen am 23. Februar 1945 mit der Kapitulation ihrer letzten Verteidiger. Den Kampfhandlungen waren schätzungsweise über 12.000 Menschen und ein beträchtlicher Teil der Bausubstanz Posens zum Opfer gefallen.
