Casa de Melo Alvim ist ein städtisches Herrenhaus aus dem Jahr 1509.
1540 war sie mit Melo Alvim del Couto d'Ervededo verheiratet. Es wurde Ende des 16. Jahrhunderts im Pflasterstil und Ende des 17. Jahrhunderts im Barockstil renoviert. Die Grenzen fast aller Öffnungen und die östlich inspirierten Zinnen sind noch aus dem manuelinischen Feldzug übrig. Vom Erdgeschoss sind noch die toskanischen Kolonnaden des Atriums übrig, in denen eine apotropäische Nische hervorsticht. Von der Barockanlage ist die Treppe zum Erdgeschoss erhalten geblieben.
Bei der Umwandlung des Gasthauses in ein Hotel wurden alle archäologischen Überreste erhalten (einschließlich zwei manuelinischer Türen im Erdgeschoss) und Möbel aus dem 17. und 18. Jahrhundert ausgewählt, zu denen auch die Gestaltung moderner Möbel für zwei Zimmer hinzugefügt wurde
